Defining my Long Term & Short Term Goals

Its been more than one month since I started this blog with the objective to document my online earning experiences and yet I haven't written yet my GOAL which is a very important ingredient of a successful projects.

I know most of the successful affiliate marketer are writing their goals so I must write one too.  GOAL is the MAP to success afterall.

To begin with, let me share you my long term and short term goals for www.zalds.com  Long term goals are those which I want to achieve after one year.  Under the long term goal are short term goals which is list of actions specifically design to meet my main goals.

Here are my long term & short term goals for this site:

(1)  After 1 year, I should earn atleast $5,000 a month (net) from affiliate marketing...

Super affiliates out there earns five figure dollar every month, I'm not ready to hit that amount yet and I also don't want to set my goal so high so I set my affiliate marketing earning to the achievable amount.  I believe $5000 net affiliate earning per month is just right.  Not too big and not too small.

To achieve this here are my short term goals:

• File a three weeks leave (Dec 9 - Jan 1) from my 8-5 work to focus building my very first PPC campaign. (done)
• Run atleast 3 PPC campaign on December 2008
• Add atleast 1 new affiliate campaign monthly thereafter.

(2)  After 1 year, I should earn atleast $500 a month from private ads...

This is the list of short term goals that I will try to achieve in relation to my long term goal of earning atleast $500/ month.

• Build loyal readers and subscribers list to attract advertiser to put private ads.
• Post articles related to my niche and position my site slowly & surely in the search engine ranking.
• Increase email subscription by offering freebies & site contest (you can subscribe now via email at the bottom of this post )
• Modify template to suit enough private ads space

(3)  After 1 year, zalds.com should have atleast 1000 daily visitors...

The 1000 visitors daily is free traffic coming from search engine or site referral and I hope that having this number of daily visitor will reinforce my short term goal listed in (2) so I can achieve my $500 a month private ads quickly.  I have created several sites that achieved 2K average visitors daily in 3-4 months of blogging so I'm very positive that I can also do it here in my money making site.  The 1K visitor question now is "How" and "How Long"...

• Continue adding content, case studies and money making earning report
• SEO post
• Commenting on other money making blogs
• Link exchange request (money making or affiliate marketing related sites) - btw, do you have a money making blog, interested in link exchange? just leave a comment and I'l add you in my blog roll help me achieve these goals thanks in advance..
