How to use OIO Publisher for Geo Targeting / IP Targeting

A few days back, I come across this premium wordpress plugin that will help the publisher to automate private ad selling.  The cool tool that I'm talking about here is the OIO Publisher. Its very easy to setup and the interface is simple.

I'm using OIO Publisher to easily manage buying and selling of all my blogs' private ads (banner, text link, blog post, downloads).  Its automated from A-Z - from payment to ad placement to follow up emails.

Aside from the ad management automation function, you can also use this tool for geo targeting.  This is one of the important feature that I really really love in this cool plugin.  Let me show you how I use OIO Publisher to to Geo Target my visitor so that only offers available for them will be shown.

First I created six different 468 x 60 affiliate banners to demonstrate geo targeting function of OIO Publisher.  Below are the banners you may see depending on your location.  For the purpose of demo I made banners for Philippines, Singapore, UK, US & Canada visitors.  If the visitor is not from the mentioned country, the global banner which is the "advertise here" banner will be seen.

Here is how you can quickly setup OIO Publisher for ip targeting / geo targeting:

1.  Open your OIO Publisher tool:

• For Standalone OIO Publisher: login to OIO >> Ad Server >> Banner Ads >> Setup the banner zone (468 x 60)
• For WordPress Plugin OIO Publisher: login to wordpress admin >> OIOpublisher >> Ad Server > Setup the banner zone (468 x 60)

Here is the screenshot of the my banner zone setting used in this demo for your reference.  I added one 468 x 60 banner slot, set the banner price and the banner duration that the purchased ads will be shown.

2.  Under the default ad config, type the number of banners you plan to show, then press update setting

3.  For each default ad, you can select to use html or image type.  For html you can use the exact code provided by affiliate network or you can even use the 3rd party ad script.  For image, you need to specify the image location and the site url. (For this demo I use the site url = http://zalds.com)

4.  Under Geo Target, select the country where you want your image/html to show.

5.  Update Setting.

6.  Get the php code or the java script code and paste it into the page you want your affiliate ads to show.  Thats how easy it is to setup.

Now you can monetize your organic traffic even better and bring your visitor to their corresponding CPA offer. Send your US visitor to US campaign offer and earn pay per lead or pay per sale commission from them.
