Additional $400 a month – Thanks! Infolink

Few weeks back I received an email inquiry for a possible in-text ads from Infolinks. After a couple of email exchanges from the account manager, I decided to give them a try.
Why I decided to test Infolinks?
- Higher revenue share, which guarantees a higher CPM for my in-text ads > 80% split
- To check ad performance & choose the one who will give me more revenue of course ( Yes! You must also A/B - split test advertising company that you are using.)
After 23 days, here is the result:

Result shows that my test sites are profitable with Infolinks compare to my previous Intext Ads. The first 3 days I haven't fully updated the script so you'll see a very low earning but if you are going to observe the earning from 4th - 24th of March the daily earning is hovering to $8 - $21 . If earning trend continue this will give me an average of $14 per day - around $400 monthly! not bad.
Strong Points:
- Publisher have the ability to control the number of intext ads to appear per page
- Publisher can also control the underline style (double or single)
Weak Points:
- Intext performance per website is very crucial for publisher who is running multiple website. Infolinks reporting dashboard will not give you the report per website it will only give you the daily earning. If you want to segragate the earning per website the only way right now is to apply a separate account and generate a unique infolink code.
- In some instances I see intext ads irrelevant to my content.
With the current eCPM and earning I think I'm going to let the Infolinks run for another month. Let's see if the result is consistent. If the result is the same then I'm going to migrate all my site to infolinks. We should use the monetizing method that is more profitable to us, right?
Shifting to Infolinks will give me additional $400.00 monthly, which I can then use to fund my affiliate ad spend..
Oh.. INFOLINK Sign Up Page is HERE. (Try it! - This might give you a 3-4x as much intext ads earning of what you are using right now.)

Very nice! I noticed the high click-through-rate which is impressive. Where does your traffic come from? This could say much about revenues. I also found Infolinks to be a better in-text provider; check out my analysis at http://www.intextreview.com. Thanks!
March 25th, 2009 - 13:08
@jc,
In general the traffic is from US, UK, CA arrived to my sites via search engine (google & yahoo and a little bit of msn).
March 25th, 2009 - 19:31
Does this not affect your Adsense CTR?
woooooot! My infolinks net impressions are more than 10k, but my CTR is quite lower. I guess I should display more than 3 infolinks ads per page. Hmmmm…
March 25th, 2009 - 19:51
@Jehz,
for sure it will affect my adsense CTR but the earning effect minimal because if they will not click to my adsense they might click to infolinks etc – either way I will still earn from click…..
I checked my adsense CTR history since i started adding different method to monetize my blogs (in-text , chitika..)
Here is the data:
CTR Before: (Exclusively monetized by Google Adsense)
9-12%
CTR After: (Adsense+Chitikca+Infolinks etc.)
9-12%
How come there is no change CTR? I can’t explain also heheh.one thing I’m sure.. by implementing intext ads = additional monthly earning..

Zalds – you mentioned affiliate spending, I am just wondering sine I am new to this blogging venture:
1. what is your overall income and expense ratio?
2. how do you advertise your site to gain that much of traffic (aside from the normal SEO)?
I would also appreciate any further tips on how to improve our blogsites. If you want you can visit them here:

March 26th, 2009 - 03:46
@Denniss,
1. I’ve shared the income expense >> http://zalds.com/2009/how-to-earn-google-adsense-earning-report.html , just add the earning from text link and chitika..
2. I don’t advertise my blogs – traffic is from SEO. The affiliate ad spending that I said is for my Affiliate Campaigns … sorry if i confuse you.

Hey! a new post, at last. lol. I also started infolinks just last week, and hoping for positive results within the next few weeks.
Quick question though, is there any “ideal” number of links for infolinks? Mine, I started with just five, and quite hesitant to fill up my posts with a lot of infolinks.
cheers,
March 26th, 2009 - 08:11
oops. also, an additional $400 a month is just plain sweet!
March 26th, 2009 - 09:06
@jayl,
is there any “ideal” number of links for infolinks? Depends on the number of words in your article.
I’m using 5 links also and i just changed the link style from double underline to single so that links won’t look too cluttered
March 28th, 2009 - 06:29
I think depends sa site, There are sites that performs well in Kontera and there are site performs well in infolinks. I am just waiting my kontera earnings to reach 100 before I can fully transfer
March 28th, 2009 - 07:10
@dex,
when you transfer expect to increase atleast 3x of what you are earning now..
March 30th, 2009 - 07:45
March 30th, 2009 - 07:47
by the way, ang attached image mo ‘di ba bawal yan na visible ang ctr at ecpm???
March 30th, 2009 - 08:05
@donald,
sabi ng infolinks manager oks lang daw.. ang google adsense lang ang mahigpit sa showing CTR at ecpm..
March 30th, 2009 - 08:15
Hey Zalds!
Congratulations in this new site. You’re so good at this and I wish I have half of that talent that I can use for my site ng yumaman naman ako tulad mo. Hahaha!
Have a great day.
March 30th, 2009 - 08:20
@Mackay,

March 30th, 2009 - 16:52
I just tried infolinks 2 days ago when I seen it on one of the blogs I comment on daily.
March 31st, 2009 - 13:07
when I tried the infolinks at my SELaplana blog, the Kontera immediately emailed me and reminded me of the terms…. but i continued the testing. I found out that my income with infolinks at SELaplana dot com is 400% higher than Kontera…
However, in my other blogs, the CTR of infolinks is very much low compared to when using Kontera.
April 1st, 2009 - 19:27
@KushMoney,
Infolinks is doing active inviting more publishers lately.. and its good that I tried it.
@Sel
I exclusively run my blogs to kontera before… when i started moving my blog impression to infolinks I observe a sudden increase in kontera earning.. i’m running kontera with special link deal but when i started serving infolinks i found out that the earning is 3-4x more..
data will tell that i should try to test more sites to infolinks to verify the performance.. lets see. Hope infolinks earnig performance will be consistent. Btw, i also made a special deal to infolinks which is a bit higher than their normal 70-30 split..
April 2nd, 2009 - 12:24
Additional USD400 a month is fantastic. How did you manage to get more than 5k of traffic each day?
April 2nd, 2009 - 18:45
@Diana,
building links.. lots and lots of links..
April 4th, 2009 - 07:33
Hats off to your added $$$! I’m still learning how to build links and wanted to know more.
April 4th, 2009 - 10:20
@Erick,
Always begin with the end in mind..
if you want to have 1000’s of links 3 months from now.. you should start your link building campaign..
neways, i heard that your site is doing pretty well.. good job.
April 16th, 2009 - 08:04
My infolinks income is very very minimal. I guess that’s because of my ‘not-so-high’ traffic. As of now, I just have $7.00+ in my account after 2 months of implementation. Whew! I’m not really sure if it affects my CTR in adsense.
April 16th, 2009 - 09:12
@Millionaire Acts,
use google trend , google insight google kewyrod to identify topic wth high volume search then plan your posting base on that data.. – this will surely improve your site traffic>high page impression> more $$ to your site.
Infolinks will surely affect your adsense CTR. My adsense click is averaging 0.05 per click.. Infolink is averaging 0.04 Your data will tell whether it is worth to keep them both running..
April 29th, 2009 - 06:08
wow. You get paid by click or impression from infolinks?
April 29th, 2009 - 13:48
@ohmelayu,
infolinks pay me per click.
May 5th, 2009 - 15:20
Hi Zalds!
Very inspiring site! Can I interview you thru email to be able to learn from you?

May 19th, 2009 - 11:54
for one click, what is average dollar you get?
May 19th, 2009 - 13:31
@abrablog
average is around 0.04-0.05 , almost the same with adsense.
May 21st, 2009 - 15:10
Thanks for this info. This gives me hope to earn more at Infolinks. I’m just new to the site but I already earned a few dollars. Very inspiring post.
May 22nd, 2009 - 06:46
@Daily,
Thanks. I’m happy to inspire someone
May 31st, 2009 - 03:31
I think it depends also with the kind of keywords you are using. If the keywords on your posts are the most searched ones, then there is a big possibility of more clicks. I can say though that based on my experience, Infolinks also brings me more clicks than Kontera.
June 7th, 2009 - 18:20
hello kuya, this is my first time to visit your blog. Found your link thru Donald’s blog hehe. Tamang-tama ung topic nyo, kaka approved lang sakin ng infolinks ~ I hope mareached ko rin ung ganyan payment! WOOT. thanks for inspiring us from infolinks program. hihi
June 9th, 2009 - 08:11
Hello guys,
I’m very new with the Adsense and Text Links. Can i combine Text links, adsense and banners together? not google banners…….
June 9th, 2009 - 14:49
@Andy-stock,
exacty, thats the basic of SEO, post topics on keywords with the most search. If you have enough traffic, daily increase of online income will follow.
@Sheryl,
welcome to my blog. goodluck so iyong infolinks and money making online quest. Send my regards to Donald too
@Andy – OnlyMonavie,
you can combine adsense & text link. I’m doing it in my blogs except here coz i’m not using adsense on this blog.
June 9th, 2009 - 17:49
Hello zalds,
what about banners? banners 125×125 from other third party together with adsense? btw, who is offering banner beside google?
June 10th, 2009 - 22:22
@andy,
to be safe.. if you will use 125×125 third party ad.. use other size (e.g. 200×200 or 250×250) of google ads to comply with their tos.
basically you can run adsense ads with other ads platform as long as they have different appearance, meaning you can differentiate them.
for other banner ads, .. you can check techconnect, chitika, adbrite
June 26th, 2009 - 11:36

July 24th, 2009 - 00:10
Now.., we can seperate earning’s reports for each blog at one account with additional code, var infolink_wsid = xx;
So.., our code will become:
var infolink_pid = our_id;
var infolink_wsid = xx;
Change xx with unique number.
For details, you can contact Infolinks’ Support.
July 25th, 2009 - 05:55
