First PPC to CPA Affiliate Marketing Campaign Result – $6,608.85

I''ve been doing affiliate marketing for quite sometime now and today I'm going to share you some stats of the  Hydra / Neverblue campaign that I promoted via PPC.

This is actually my first CPA campaign using the paid search as a source of traffic. The offer is a lead generation campaign that lasted for about 1 1/2 months.

Using the idea that I learned from my unsuccessful Facebook Affiliate Marketing experience plus useful advise of online friends who are already doing well in this industry, I finally get my very first PPC to CPA campaign running.

Unlike facebook aff marketing wherein you can just grab your affiliate code, write your ad and target your demo, here in PPC via search, I need to come up with converting keywords, ad copy and landing combination for this offer to work.

Affiliate marketing tasks that I learned includes:

  • Market research
  • Niche research
  • Keyword research
  • Ad copy
  • Landing page
  • Tracking

I keep an eye on below figure and make them as high as possible by testing every possible variation/combination by optimizing my adcopy and landing page daily:

  • Ad copy CTR
  • Keyword Impression / CTR
  • Keyword/Ad copy that result to conversion
  • Landing page clickthrough to offer CTR

In the end I found out keywords that is giving a constant conversions. I then expand KW list from there and the rest is history.

Here is the result:

Earning:

Ad Spend:

  • Combined  -  $ 3,712.82

Net (ROI) :

  • $6,608.85 - $3,712.82 = $ 2,896.03 ( 78% ROI)

I'm happy that I earn money on my first PPC to CPA campaign. Another good thing to mention is that, I use my adsense earning to fund my advertising thus, making my $ 3,712.82 adsense earning to $ 6,608.85!

Unfortunately the campaign didn't last long they stop me before I scale it. My AM told the advertiser don't like me.. :) So, instead of grieving I started a new campaign. I'l share the report on the my next post.

Lesson Learned:

  • Don't just drive leads to offer, for a long term campaign, it is very important to consider also the quality of the traffic. Ad copy, Landing Page, Keywords plays a vital role for a quality traffic.
  • Seek opportunity!. If you are already included in Google Adsense Payroll, or already receiving online income from Infolinks, Chitika, Kontera. Try PPC to CPA affiliate marketing, reinvest your earning. Just don't forget to consider the risk involve and invest what you can affort to lose.

  14. Ang laking income nyan for just 1.5 months? I have been looking for ways to earn money online because I am planning to quit my boring day job but I haven’t earned $3,000 + in 1 1/2 months. So far my biggest source of online income is Adsense, I earn around $800 a month with the four blogs. But I want to earn as big as what you have. I tried reading about PPC to CPA affiliate marketing campaigns but honestly speaking, I could not understand how this thingy works, for me it looks so complicated, or probably I just read the wrong books or guide.

  15. @Pastilan,
To test the water you need to let your hand or your feet wet.. :) Try it and you will find out that it is easier but riskier than adsense..

  16. whoa, that’s huge amount of dollars!!

You’re so great! Maybe I can learn some tricks from you. :)

  17. @kelvin,

    sure can.. just roam around

  18. @quickbrownfox

  19. that’s a great income.
I love these 02 affliliate networks too but I always got rejection on my application. Could you give some helps ?

  20. @mrbeo,
sure..sign up using the links above and I can talk to my AM to hook you up.

For Hydra, you need to call them for you to get approved. they have a tough screening process..

  21. Zalds, mga ilang blogs ang gamit mo to earn that huge income sa adsense? Si ofw…f pa rin ba ang biggest adsense generator mo?

  22. @tyrone,

ofw asa average na lang dina ng earning nun di na kasi na uupdate..

yang earning na yan from 1 campaign.. hindi sya adsense.. iba ung google adsense.. this is from PPC to CPA affiliate marketing. :)

  23. Ah ok. But you said yung adsense mo which amounted to $3,712.82 was the one used to advertise the CPA campaign right? Ilang blogs yung sa $3,712.82 na earnings mo? Hindi na pala si ofw. Ano na? Pwede bang malaman? hehe… Galing mo talaga!

  24. @tyrone,

3-4 blogs.. d pwede eh.. hanapin mo na lang makikita mo rin naman un .:)

  25. impressive.

zalds, just a question. can you send PPC traffic directly to a clickbank product? Im planning to use adwords

  26. @deric,

Yes you can. As long as the product page is in compliance with the Google’s landing page requirement. You’ll know via QS (Quality Score). If its 7/10 then you are good to direct link.. if it is 4/10 and below then you’ll have to create a landing page.

Fyi, low QS = high bid, high bid = high expense to promote the product. On the other hand, if you have high QS 8/10 — 10/10 you will pay less depending on the keyword competition.

  27. thanks bro.

I assume that the QS can be found within adwords dashboard right? BTW are you referring to my landing page here, if ever I create one?

“Fyi, low QS = high bid, high bid = high expense to promote the product. On the other hand, if you have high QS 8/10 — 10/10 you will pay less depending on the keyword competition.”

  28. @deric,

I’m referring to the url destination that you will put in your ad in adwords, be it direct link or your own LP.

  29. yun. thanks for clarifying. you’re AM journey is truly inspiring.

  30. BTW sana mag post ka din ng topic about Adcopy.

  31. @deric,

yup. I will post about adcopy for sure..

  32. zalds, it’s me again. i asked a while ago that we can send PPC traffic directly to clickbank, meaning for the destination URL i can use http://xxxxxx.xxx.hop.clickbank.net? Am i right?

  33. @deric,

Yes. A typical example for adword ad if you are going to direct link is:

    Headline: Your Best Healine Here
    Description 1: Catchy Description Here
Description 2: Sparkling Description 2 Here
    Display URL : http://www.offer.com/keyword
    Destination URL: http://xxx.xx.hop.clickbank.net?subid=trackingnumber

  34. That’s what I need to know. well I think I’m almost there. Slowly but surely applying all the things I learned from this site. I’ll share you my experience wth clickbank. Thanks a lot bro, keep up all the good work and the blessings you’re sharing.

  35. zalds, got my first PPC to CPA sale. ang saya! di pa malaki pero I think kailangan pa ng konting research para maabot ko kita mo hehe. thanks for all the help. tambay mode muna ko dito.

  36. @deric,

Congrats… one day magugulat ka nalnag xxx per day ka na.. :) keep it up and don’t stop tweaking and optimizing..
